The Italian Open 2027 - Rome, Florence, & Tuscany

Day 1 - Tuesday, May 4

Depart the USA for a fabulous trip to Italy! Flights are not included in the tour price, but more information will be provided to help you make the best choice.

Day 2 - Wednesday, May 5

Arrive by 10:30am at Rome's Fiumicino Airport (FCO) After clearing customs and immigration, board your motorcoach and head into downtown Rome. You'll visit the Piazza del Popolo and walk to the Piazza di Spagna to view the famous Spanish Steps. Check into the 4-star Hotel Quirinale, your home for the next three nights, with some time to relax before gathering for a welcome dinner. Dinner included

Day 3 - Thursday, May 6

This morning, meet your local guide and walk to the iconic Colosseum, built between 70-80 AD. History will come alive as you step inside the world's most famous amphitheater, which hosted bloody Gladiator battles in front of 80,000 spectators. This evening, it's off to the Foro Italico, home of the ATP Masters 1000 Italian Open! Enjoy excellent seating for two evening matches (one men's, one women's) in beautiful Campo Centrale. Breakfast included

Day 4 – Friday, May 7

After breakfast, you'll head back to Foro Italico to enjoy matches on the many stunning red clay courts with your included grounds pass. Late afternoon, return to the Hotel Quirinale and enjoy a lemoncello with Margie and toast to a great day! Breakfast included

Day 5 – Saturday, May 8

This morning, we will board a fast train to Florence. Upon arrival, we'll be treated to a walking tour with a local guide which includes to a visit to the Galleria dell' Accademia to see Michelangelo's famous statue of David. Check into the Hotel Roma for a one night stay. The Hotel Roma overlooks one of Florence's busy piazzas. This evening, handmade pasta and wine are on the menu during a fun cooking class! Breakfast & Dinner included

Day 6 - Sunday, May 9

This morning is unscheduled time. Perhaps you'll linger over breakfast and coffee, stroll the banks of the picturesque Arno River, or shop for gifts on the ancient Ponte Vecchio, built in 1345 and saved from destruction during World War II. This afternoon, we leave Florence and head for the Tuscan countryside! Enroute, we will sample some Tuscan wines and charcuterie at a local winery. Arrive at the 4-star Borgo San Luigi where you'll spend the next three nights. Dinner is held at the hotel tonight. Breakfast & Dinner included

Day 7 - Monday, May 10

Today is free for you to do as you please! Consider renting a bicycle or Vespa scooter to explore the beautiful rolling Tuscan hills full of vineyards, olive groves or the nearby medieval hill town of Monteriggioni. Make sure you save some time to play a game of tennis on the estate's private red clay court! Breakfast included

Day 8 - Tuesday, May 11

Our last full day in Italy promises to be special. We'll take a ride through the countryside to the most beautiful, wellpreserved medieval town in Tuscany, San Gimignano. Climb to the top of the 174 ft Torre Grossa, view a 13th century water system and continue exploring this charming town full of history and unique shops. We'll visit one more winery for a farewell dinner. Breakfast & Dinner included

Day 9 - Wednesday, May 12

Alla prossima, Italy! A motor coach transfer to Florence airport (FLR) is provided. Breakfast included
